I have ETKA 7.5 Plus running on Windows 7 within VMware. I hadn't used it for some time so was way behind in my updates. I also saw the posts for ETKA 8 and wanted to get my 7.5 updated to the correct file updates (1185,711,718,1185). I've managed to get the VW, Seat and Skoda updates installed, but for some reason the 1178 version for Audi fails.

I have tried deleting the entire Data2 folder so it gets recreated from scratch. I have also deleted and downloaded the 1178 update several times.

I've noticed in the Data1 folder there is a 'upd1177d' TXT file, but no corresponding one in Data2. In there, there is a 'DeltaUpd' TXT file. A search through this file reveals the following lines:

Error : Old BIN-file missing for token U/D (Line 246, code 28, subcode 0)
Parameter 1 : 85
Failed - FDT-Update-InPlace (C:\ETKA\DATA\AU\Data2_$Upd$\08.BIN)

In the Data2 folder, there is a '08.DU$' file, newly created. Any idea how I can get around it?

Afraid not, but then I have been otherwise occupied. It's a real pain being without it, but I suspect the only way is to reinstall again from scratch... but then having to be careful when you get to the 1185,711,718,1185 files, so that v8 can be installed.

Yeah, spotted that a little later. May just be better going down that route.
