BMW E39 CODE and ignition lock
Hello, I have a problem in the BMW e39 from 2001, from time to time there appears "CODE" on the odometer and OBC which blocks the ignition of the car, even after switching it off pasoft again returns from time to time alone. What could it be?

Hello, I know that just take out the fuse from the meter and the car will start, but I want to get rid of the problem, but I see a problem with the k-bus line because there is no communication with multimedia, navi, radio, bmbt, tel, cd-changer , Video module.

Check the Kline wire for frays/breakdown as this can cause intermittent problems a complete broke Kline will cause permanent non start. test Kline wiring from end to end on plugs from ecu to to dash etc Hope this is of some help If mine or others posts and info are helpful please give thanks/rep

Hello, after a long search I found a corroded I-BUS cable, there was nothing to see it, and it was black in the middle and caused high resistance. And the place where it happened is the trunk and the beam next to the car under the plastic cover of the lock.
