To remove password in xp use hirens boot cd and xp pass breaker.

Thanks for hirens boot cd, its cool thing I removed pw but I still can´t fix hal.dll error when boot Laptop is ASUS F8V

hal error is usually caused by a boot.ini problem.

Did you also select "restore mbr" when you restored the image?

try repairing the system files using the xp cd or "ERD commander" boot cd.

I got today my ICOM A2. How i can check and make sure at network settings are ok? There was red notifications when starting ISTA, but after few minutes its gone. So it done configuration correct?


Need to update firmware, but how? How to login ICOM, do i need put static network -settings to pc?

What IP should use?

I tool Radar cannot find any IP.

EDIT2: In ediabas.ini have remotehost IP:172.26.169.196 and interface:OMITEC. Is those correct?

EDIT3: I change IP and interface. Maybe firmware update needs also another wires to connect. Need to connect to car some day.

I am having trouble getting this to work with an OEM ICOM a2. I created the four XML files with my icom's serial number in the filename and my serial / MAC / IP in the appropriate places in the files. ISTA sees the icom, but when I try to read the car I get an error that says "Reconnecting to the same vehicle wasn't possible. The newly identified vehcile is a different one. Please reconnect to the same vehicle.". The spelling error (vehcile) appears on the dialog just as I've quoted it.

Any idea what is causing this and how to fix it? I am pretty sure the firmware is up to date because I don't get a prompt to update it when I connect this ICOM to a paid subscription version of ISTA. This ICOM works fine with ISTA on the paid subscription machine.

I tried login to ICOM, but found just this:

leave ediabas as it is
disable firewall
connect icom to car obd port & lan. wait 2 minutes
now connect to icom in web browser.

I used original ICOM is working fine with ISTA/D and P. After the ICOM MAC address is added and this what I did with the steps below.
1. Select the WRENCH
2. Select the VCI Config
3. Select HO-ICOM / ENET local network or HO-ICOM / ENET direct connection, either one is worked.

I have the image of BMW ISTA / D Rheingold 3:42:40 ISTA / P 2:52:40 Asus F3 HDD loaded and unzipped me. With Acronis I have the image then to the hard drive. If I then re-boats is Windows XP and the white loading bar. Then comes a blue screen and it starts again.

I have a laptop HP 8530w
Is there a solution?
