RE: BMW Road Map Europe Way 2019-1
Don't bother with this. As read in another thread Way 2019-2 is officially released, so I think it will available for download somewhere soon.

So I will be so appreciated if someone put the link for download new 2019-2 maps here. I don't know why, but I can't get updates via BMW connected drive service, I suspect because it is not supported in my country (Latvia). Anyway, updates instal fine from USB. |

RE: BMW Road Map Europe Way 2019-1
To be able to identify a map, you can check the contents of "Info_Map.imp" file which is located at the root (WAY, MOVE) or inside the "INFO_MAP_..." folder (EVO, MOTION, NEXT, PREMIUM, ROUTE).
Use Windows Notepad, or Notepad++ to view its final text span. For example: ... ... ... Road Map EUROPE Way 2019-3 which is the official name, region, type, year, and release of the map. Then, if you want to dig a little bit deeper, you'd need a hex viewer, to look at index 1-7. For example: Index 0: A1 Index 1: 00 00 3C 2C FF 06 56 which is the binary representation of map region, type, main version, sub version, patch version, in hexadecimals. With a little bit of hex to dec effort, they can be seen as: NAVD_00003C2C_255_006_086 P.S.: Road Map EUROPE Way 2019-3 is not yet listed in Lookup.xml, or you don't have the latest Lookup.xml? No worries! Decode the file yourself. It's clearly NAVD_00003C2C_255_006_086 |
