Ford Edge 2008 not starting, no spark
Good day colleagues
Help Please Did you have these symptoms Ford Edge 2008 will not start, there is no spark When I turn on the ignition, fuel pump shakes once, you turn the starter turns but the RPM do not rise, Scanner also showing that there is no symptoms of crankshaft signals, But other parametres of other sensors Like engine coolant, air temperature , the gas pedal, electronic throttle control, mass air flow sensor is OK Wiring from crankshaft sensor to PCM is OK. Resistance of crankshaft sensor is also OK. PCM has a one fault ---- P1000: FF ----- Cant understand what is this fault (Immo related fault or Other Computer faults does not have, ) I wanted to check if PCM is detecting disconnected sensors and then removed the crankshaft sensor, the mass air flow sensor and the oxygen sensor. no fault code appears in ECU --- What might be problem? Might be PCM defective? or something inside PCM broken or burnt which controls some function or speciallt crankshaft sensor when I removed sensor it has small metal pieces, i cleaned and fixed it back and then connected 2 wires and voltmets on 2V range to check if anything will appare, when I cranck startor voltmeter is showing small amount voltages, I think it tells that us its life, is not it? another thing why I surprised, why when I remove 3-4 sensors of engine, PCM is not sensing if sensor is there or no? OR will it start sensing after engine starts |

RE: Ford Edge 2008 not starting, no spark
P1000 is when all OBD readiness monitors have not been met, does not mean anything is wrong with the vehicle unless this code persists for 100+ miles of driving. This codes most usually occurs when a recent DTC erase has been performed.
You will need an oscilloscope to truly test the crankshaft sensor. The car will not run without a proper CKP signal. The values for the CKP sensor are: -Key off - 0Hz -Hot idle - 400-500Hz -30Mph - 850-1050Hz -55Mph - 1050-1150Hz |

Yes you are right, but i have not have a oscilloscope this time. seems need to order,
another question another thing why I surprised, why when I remove 3-4 sensors of engine, PCM is not sensing if sensor is there or no? will this type of PCM detects unplagged sensors after car starts? |

Well did diagnostics with other scanner Launch X431, its showing all disconnected sensors,
I am going to check fly wheel teeth, and change crankshaft position sensor. will write result once solved, (10-04-2019, 06:15 AM)xtac1080 Wrote: P1000 is when all OBD readiness monitors have not been met, does not mean anything is wrong with the vehicle unless this code persists for 100+ miles of driving.
