Everything works perfectly after I moved SDP to the external SSD and connected it to the VM directly

Can you more explain where you install current SDP? Self installed with IstaLauncherConsole, or download and extract? Sure that this full SDP?

I have full SDP 4.18.14 downloaded from spider80 and successfully extracted so esys works fine even for ECUs update 
I use mac with parallels and locate full psdzdata on mac while other stuff is inside the VM 
I use symbolic link both for esys and rheingold with such command:

Update.
The whole problem was I did not have a full database installed. I was trying to up date something that wasn't there and of course it failed. (User error)

Now it's fixed and working. Still need to connect to a car of course, but at least the install is working as intended.
