E70 X5 CAS kit, won't go in gear.
Today's question I can't answer. Does the X5 E70 need some ISN thing I read about in the past doing so it will go into gear?
The message I got was he's fitted a full CAS, ECU and cluster for whatever reason and now it will start but not go into gear. The only pic I was sent is attached. It mentions EWS but I'm used to E series where you sync it or the car won't start. I'd rather not head over if I can't do anything or a EWS sync won't sort it. Thanks. |

As they are a business BMW are asking a near impossible list of things to present to get a key via them so he decided to buy a CAS kit and now has been given my number. He has the original parts, the place he took the CAS and ECU to tried saying the CAS is corrupt, mumbled about CAS3+ so I think it was above their pay grade. |

E70 has ISN also in EGS so you will need the gearbox from the donor or just correct ISN in the donor equipment. If you are in America I can help since it will need benched

Get cas3+ fixed, or get your hands on the original ecu and take isn from it write to donor ecu and cas.

cgdi can delete isn on this gearbox, after delete, just need turn on ignition when isn will be corrrect
