My MIB2 radion keeps restaring every few minutes since I bought the car. After checking the DTCs there is only one DTC related to Component Protection Active. Is there a an update to apply or something?

RE: MIB2 keeps restarting every few minutes
If you have CP Active error and your mib is working that means it has been patched (cracked). Post the train version here so we can see what you can do.

Push and hold the "Menu" button for 10 seconds. Write the first line here. Also the last line too.

RE: MIB2 keeps restarting every few minutes
This is most probably because of a bad SWaP activation. In fact, these MST2 with 02xx version manifest the same problem you have now when 09d000ff swap is activated on them (this is a SWaP license for navigation).
To fix this you need either ODIS Engineering with any compatible VCI or OBDELEVEN or VCP. If you have one I can help. |

RE: MIB2 keeps restarting every few minutes
I'm looking at a bricked mib!
Maybe you should go to someone who knows what he's doing... IMO. |

RE: MIB2 keeps restarting every few minutes
First, you must delete all SWAP codes installed in your mib unit.
Use the website in Link1 to generate all swap codes you need: Start with FFFFFFF9 then do each of the following: 00030000 00040100 00050000 00060100 00060200 00060300 00060400 00060800 00060900 00070200 00070300 09400008 (This one instead of what you had earlier 09400FF) Follow the youtube video in link2 to see how all this works. Don't forget Thanks and Rep. |
