I have never installed Ediabas before so may not have completed it properly!

I downloaded and installed Ediabas from this thread here:

the file is called EDIABAS_7.3.0.msi and is 16.8MB

Is that it or do I need to download anything else?
Should there be any files in C:\EDIABAS\Ecu because my directory is empty?

I then installed Dr.Gini but I get an error when trying to use it, see pic.

   

Is that because I have some "ECU description files missing from my Ediabas install or something else?

re the Ediabas.ini file I have set the interface to ENET but do I also need to change anything else e.g the IP address to match that of my actual nic interface?

How do I test Ediabas is working correctly?

I just found an earlier post which I think cover the problem I reported above

"copy all the content of C:\Program Files (x86)\BMW\ISPI\TRIC\ISTA\Ecu to C:\EDIABAS\Ecu"

I have done that now and will test again in the morning
I am very impressed with the effort Gini has put into this, well done

I have a 2012 F11 you are welcome to access it via teamviewer if you still need one to clone.

My goal is to be able to enable music play back from my Iphone via my media snapin adapter if that is at all possible using whatever coding tools I can, I think I need to add 6NF and 6NR

okay thanks, I just did an update with winkfp and it went away and added my vin # now, but in ista/p it still complains that cas and frm has different vin # which it's weird I never changed any the only thing I change was rear right door lock and motor resistor for ac blower.

I now have Dr.Gini working on my F11 with an Enet cable
In my case the files under C:\EDIABAS\Ecu were missing and once I copied them over it connected perfectly, first time

The functional and gauges tabs work but sadly I am not able to create an FSC code.

I already have the Europe West Premium 2015-1 map installed and working so I expected the code to match the one I had already bought

However nothing happens when I press the "Get Code" button. the results box is blank?

Should the result be instantaneous or will it take some time to calculate?

Or is the same bug as reported in post 279?

can not change VIN without virgin and reprogram.
