rear tail light problem 2007 tt
wonder if anyone can give me any advice, today i went to go and resolve the bad earth issue on the rear tail light on my audi tt 2007 tfsi, so proceeded, took out the light, removed bulb holder from the lens, was very corroded, but all my lights were working minus the annoying indicator message in dash, and rapid flash/ticking ect, but indicator was in fact flashing in light at normal speed , ,indicator tail lights and brake lights functioned, so continued to do the earthing, connected light back up, now i still have the rapid ticking/flashing in cluster but now have no tail lights or brackelights in the rear right light, all others on the car function perfectly, is there a fuse for the individual lights? , have checked them all in dash fusebox and none have blown ect, anyone give me any advice, and if possible what voltages ect should be at each pin at the light connector plug, man i wish id just left it alone and put up with the cluster msg now lol

RE: rear tail light problem 2007 tt
Hi.
In my opinion, in these years, the lights are already working from the comfort ECU. and if there is a short circuit, it blocks exactly from the ecu. I would start looking at errors in the ECU, with the connector inserted and not in the lights. and see if the errors are different. then connect a portable lamp to the connector, maybe you have a problem in the light itself |

[attachment=144463 Wrote:art03 pid='576137' dateline='1669274766']Hi. solved it today, i soldered a wire joining both ground bars inside light on the bulb holder, then i earthed from there to the internal grounding point in the boot down near the battery, making the ground pin on light and in the connector from car redundant, all now works perfectly |
