300CE 24 + Xentry + SDconnect
I have here a w124 300CE 24, it has the 16 pin under-bonnect diagnostic socket, only a few are occupied, when I run xentry with sd connect it switches to HTH-WIN and it tell me to plu into pin 8
I want to diagnose the the ignition module (EZL), I have tried to get coms with ALL engine modules but cant coms with any Im using the white cable/plug with KL.15 on. Ive also tried the blue cable/plug with K-LINE/LIN but still no luck, Ive also checked the pin 8 of the diag socket to the EZL and thats connected what am I doing wrong ? Thanks occupied upied |

RE: 300CE 24 + Xentry + SDconnect
At most you can get something with a pulse counter, hht won't access that KE-Jetronic (I guess) or that old EZL, on the other hand, both are diagnosed with a multimeter by measuring magnitudes easily.

RE: 300CE 24 + Xentry + SDconnect
If you want to read the faults from the connector you must use a pulse counter, you can do it with 2 diodes, 2 resistors, a switch and 3 cables., that module did not reach 20 possible errors. Look for the electrical schematic and check the components it had such as the temperature sensor, idle switch, inductive position sensor...it is a very simple system.

SD Connect C4 is working ok ?
I had case that "+" power was not present in socket. Only ground was there. Need to add it from battery directly, the best both. I think, K-line cable I have used. Not sure about KL15 - maybe was connected too. PS. Not sure that all modules was answering. |

Such EZL is not-diagnoseable.

I have checked the + and the - at the ELZ, that is good, I have also checked the engine speed sensor at the plug that is also good but Im getting no spark or coil control (17-10-2023, 18:47 PM)Joe2 Wrote: SD Connect C4 is working ok ? Yes I connected direct to battery for power as no + in the 16 pin plug (17-10-2023, 20:21 PM)evgenijj Wrote: Such EZL is not-diagnoseable. Thanks for the info |
