Original ICOM shouldn't have poor WIFI signal issue.
You could use Wifiman to check WIFI channel occupied condition. Avoid using same channel with strong signals. BMW 5 Series and Audi Q4 e-tron user.

This issue occurred with some of the latest firmware. Not sure if with 4.23.22 for NEXT or the one before.

I don't have any issues with Wifi on original NEXT and latest firmware.
