After so much try and fail with non working ISTA versions from websites here and there, finally been able to have a working version on VirtualBox / Win10 Pro x86.
I've not tried yet on my car though, as I'm reading the docs to learn how to configure Ediabas. But my USB K+DCAN cable is fully recognized by Ediabas-provided drivers, which is already good news.

I have one question and one suggestion.

# question: is there any time limit for licence validity of this version ?

# suggestion: here's how I did the "supplementary" Ediabas install (ISTA/D standalone's Rheingold directory already contains a basic Ediabas install).
- renamed C:\Rheingold\Ediabas\BIN to C:\Rheingold\Ediabas\OLD_BIN
- changed path of standalone Ediabas MSI package to C:\Rheingold\Ediabas\ during installation
- it created a new C:\Rheingold\Ediabas\BIN directory containing all Ediabas binaries + DLLs + INI files
- the rest of Ediabas package (docs, helper files, sim files, etc ....) have been installed in C:\EDIABAS as usual
- modified EcuPath parameter inside C:\Rheingold\Ediabas\BIN\EDIABAS.INI to C:\Rheingold\Ecu

I think doing it that way makes it clearer that when ISTA/D calls Ediabas, it's really the INI files inside C:\Rheingold\Ediabas\BIN that are used.

Anyway, I've not tested that yet on the car, will keep you posted if it works or not.
