I tried update on 3G+ with 900 from 26 to 27, but in update menu i see not "Y", but "?" (question mark...). When open this directory (not remember now name, but its first one from four lines according to map update - where are all big map files CTY, GDB, TER etc etc ), to select manually files, then on all files under is "N", so I cant select anyone. Not understand why...

This is caused because you already have the map activated, you can do two things:

1. Uninstall the activator with the tool in post #1, install the map normally and reactivate it.
   
2. Install the map using the user defined mode (see the manual) and manually change all the modules that say "N", to "Y".
   

I did it morning, but on file GDB2 was error. So I checked after, that three files was not previously in my car, so did again User defined installation without these three, and installation started. After finally restart now system, when navi startting, go to cca 40% on progress bar, and after freeze with message Navigation will start, nothing more (after 3 hours same...)

Now I deleted in green menu Partitions and Database, and all navi files are empty now - in detail I see 0. Then tried again, and again have same status with ?. like first time. 

So next step - I will udpate fw 900 to 942, to have "clear" system, and after will see if map will shoved correct info in update menu, or data are wrong saved on SD.

EDIT: And yes, after I updated to 942, map installation starts with "Y", like everytime before. BUt after few minutes again error with GDB2 file - maybe is corrupted, grrrr

EDIT2: I used second SD with folder GDB2 only, and voila - successfully installed GDB2, so now continue with "first" card and other files... Definitelly the folder GDB2 was wrong, so hope that other will works okay...

EDIT3: So finally finished successfully and all works OK. Problem was only in crap GDB2 file...

I had a similar problem with this map installation because I didn't erase the previous map (I know, I wrote my manual that I skip ), it started copying slower and slower, took 10 hours and was still not half complete. I cancelled the update and used another SSD (of the highest quality) and it still didn't work.

The solution was: 

- Delete the map partition.
- Reinstall the firmware 1000 (that I already had) in user-defined mode, which removed the activator and installed the things that are deleted when you delete the partition (google maps, gemmi ...).
- Reinstall the map in normal mode.
- Activate the map using my activator

All working OK :P, sometimes, the best is to delete the map partition, as the manual says, because apparently the installation is slower and sometimes runs out of space, depends on the files it contains (eg google maps cache), old map installations...
