Hello gentlemen,
Hope that your holidays are being well spent and enjoyed.


I am looking to start learning and testing ECU Tunning and so far, surfing the forum as already helped me either with some software and some knowledge aswell.
I am know my stuff in what matters to cars, however I am still understanding all this stuff from tunning programms and interfaces to map understanding and etc
 
But to start off I would like to hear your opinions and answers to some of my questions if don't mind x)





So my questions as of now are:
- Which interface do you recommend to start off? (Kess V2, Galletto V54, Galletto 0475, MPPS V12/16/18) ?

- What is the difference of a reworked clone of an interface and is it worth it vs a eu/china clone?

- What map tunning program do you recommend to start with? (ECM Titanium, WinOLS, other...)

- I read that it's recommended to keep the battery attached to a power supply to avoid getting the voltage low?


I have a MPPS V16 from China and I tried reading the ECU of a Renault Grand Scénic II 1.5 dCi 106 but it kept giving me an error so I just gave up. + I heard that MPPS can brick an ECU just by trying to read it so I am not planning on trying it again...
