RE: ISTA Launcher Console
Hi All,
Got few questions around installation. Guess if I needed to summarize my doubt I would ask: which is proper ISTA release to start ISTA installation/update. 1. If I have fresh W10 should I install some version of ISTA Stanalone along with relevant reg entries and then update via console ? Obviously I don't have access to AOS or 2. Put some dummy entries in registry like 4.0.1 and then install ISTA_4.33.15 (first one from release for 4.33) and then follow up with updates like ISTA_4.33.20 and ISTA_4.33.30 .... and so on. Here I'm wondering how some of the packages are 20GB per release and some of them are 100+GB. As I undestood reading this forum/thread if I skip some of the updates I might miss abl's or other files on my laptop ? How such installation should be compered to standalone (not reffering to license) ? If I understand what Sedoy did is basically perform update from 4.0.1 till 4.33 and then shared the files ? If so that's huge amount of work that I think is all over internet for free - I would even claim that this is hugly under appreciated. |
