For all this idiotic thinking you can thank vag groupe and their corporate thinking.
They release ONLY FULL PACKAGES / BRAND . why?, i can tell you why, because the stupid it guys like to sleep and it is more easy to pack a folder then to separate only what's new and maybe add them both.
This is all just corporate crap thinking.
Now , regarding size, because size matters you can take this picture as information on what's new each month for all brands.



So, for the last year you can say , each month for all brands you have an average of 2GB flashes / month.

Thinking that they add only new files over time was my mistake though!

They seem to delete stuff for no reason as well which makes it even harder to keep up and decide what to keep as a Backup…

You’ll have to compare the content each time before freeing up space.

For us it’s not so important to have all the brand new files that are currently out, it gets interesting for cars that need to be repaired after some time and that seems not to bother the Brands anymore…
