I'm using HiTag2 v3.1 on two computers. both have a Windows 7 64 bit system. You have to install the drivers in a different way. From the FTDI manufacturer website we download the latest D2XX drivers (64 bit) - setup executable. After running the exe file, the drivers will unpack to the system. Next, we connect the HiTag 2 to the computer. Now when updating the driver for the new device, select:
Browse my computer for driver software. Then: Let me choose from the list of device drivers on my computer. Then select in the newly opened window: Ports (COM and LPT). In the newly opened window, select the producer: FTDI and indicate the model: USB Serial Port. Install this driver and enjoy the correct installation. For the correct operation of the program, the following condition must still be met: PC system date must be between 12.1.2010 and 11.30.2011. To avoid changing the date of the PC system I use the application: RunAsDate |
