RE: Audi MMI 3GP acios_db.ini file
Figured it out in the end., the maps i was using was corrupt for Aus/NZ in that it wasn't able to generate it's own acios_db.ini file, and i coudln't make one that worked. Version is 8R0060884EG 5.9.5, maps are from 2017 by the looks (not recent, but at least something). Seems a few others have had the same issue with the same version of the map on a50c etc.
Resolution was to install the hongkong maps first (HM), then install the australian maps (AN) without deleting the partition or anything so all the files are sitting side by side. only the hongkong maps will load still which is fine. once you've done this you can activate the maps using the 6.24.2 activator. Then you need to grab the acios_db.ini file from the MMI (copy to SD using a script) and update the files to load from the HM files to the AN files (differnet folder and different filename). just comment out the ones you don't need and then write the file back by modifying the activator script where it writes the FSC file to the MMI (change to delete and write the acios_db.ini file instead), delete the other crap you don't need from the script (but leave the slay at the end), apply the script and wait for it to reboot. when it starts up again it'll show NZ and AUS maps |
