After 10h done...but have database error
I started with 4.32.15 and my Delta files are starting from 4.36 on and the last is 4.37.x but the console did install just the last 4.37.3x
Is this ok or do I need to update step by step evry single version? That is not described in the instructions.


EDIT: I think I will give up, the instructions.pdf is in my opinion not described step by step. I still don´t know do I have to update step by step or not...

I´ve got a package, 1st have to install 4.32.15 (done)....an the first Delta files starting with 4.36.xx ...so iti is possible to to update from 4.32 directly to 4.36?

And in description is written: put all DELTA FILES into downloads folder...ok but the console is then updating from 4.32 directly to 4.37 with NO ERROS and the I get "database error on startup ista"...

First you should use launcher console to update databases, BLP and SDP and use Sedoy's version of main app.

The main app, blp and databases should be same version.


For update database you don't need all delta files between 4.32 and 4.37 you only need 4.37.xx delta files.

For update SDP and BLP need all delta files from 4.32 to 4.37.xx .

The size of database of every main delta like 4.37.1X is almost the same as the packed one from Sedoy and my personal opinion is that better option is to use sedoy databases that to wait to install update from delta.

Because those I have only 4.32 and then 4.36 and up 4.37 but doesn´t matter, I just tried....and it doesn´t work.
What I don´t like is that was "said" that an update with this package is possible...and as I see, it is not. The update runs thru witohout errors, until starting ista....
So there is something missing, the instructions are not "clear" or it is on me..I don´t know.

At this point your posts sound more like whining, not questions. Looking at your screenshots 10 or 20 posts ago it looks like you have successfully updated sqlite databases to 4.37 (if that process ever finished).

BUT you have NOT updated ISTA application as in ITSELF. Console WON'T do that. And that was said in many posts and howtos in this forum. So now you run 4.32 ISTA with 4.37 databases and OF COURSE you are getting that message.

Note that these kinds of software are made by people who just want to help other people, who have at least a basic intelligence and can apply it to the things they are doing. They don't have time to write instructions for total idiots. I personally I appreciate very much that I can make my own updates.

Now there are many people asking for ISTA license in another thread who do not contribute anything to this forum, and then complaining that they can't contribute oh because that is for my personal use only. I don't understand such people at all. Then write stories how you used something to solve one or the other problem, what was the problem in the first way and what were its symptoms. This information could be very useful for someone else. And you would be contributing.

For anyone else coming here for the same questions, download the console and read the IstaLauncherConsole_Guide.pdf from the Mega link. I found it easier to follow since it has screenshots. Mostly just need to add the additional registry keys for the ISTALauncher section. Since I had an existing working ISTA, I made an export of the existing ISTA registry as a backup and then added only the ISTALauncher parts for pointing to TempInstallDirectory. That section can be copy/pasted from the istalauncher-x64.reg file included. You'll also need to create ISTA_Store\Downloads directory somewhere that has sufficient space for the full and/or delta files (istapackage and xml). You do not need the msi files. If you are doing full and delta, put them all in that directory without nested folders. The console will copy them to another Temp directory under the new ISTA_Store\Downloads folder until it's done installing so again, make sure you have plenty of space. If you are doing this over USB drive, expect it to take many hours. The console will update the registry versions when it is complete. If you don't also update the app (example: ISTA 4.37.22 and Programming data 4.38.30), expect to get a warning about version mismatch. You'll need to add the registry key to disable CheckAppVersion.

Can anybody help me?  just can't get it to update from 4.37.43 to 4.39.20. I've added the log file to the attachment. Would be great if someone has the desire and perseverance to help me.
