Problem is most of china (maybe original too) ICOMs are reporting voltage with 0.2-0.5V under, so you may have 150A super quality charger with 13.8-14-2V stable output, that can not be used because of this. And that is very annoying!

My original a1 and a2 also reports 0.2 under

ISTA+ Voltage Control. Simulates voltage of connected interface (all interfaces).

Useful?

I am curious as to the inspiration (ie goal in mind) for the project.

Will this allow simulation of some of the ISTA+ functions that require connection to vehicle (eg. ABL procedures) or just to override the protection of low and high voltage?

This is to satisfy the voltage requirements in ISTA when programming over ENET which does not report voltage.

I wish for no connection to vehicle also...
wish someone could discover how

More info:

It is version specific. Will look at releasing a test version for standalone 4.01.22 this week.

since you are on this, do you know why ISTA+/ENET com.bmw.prodias.io.tcp.HsfzTcpCommunicationLink is using port 50160 and not the standard diag port 6801 ? Ive traced it to GetHsfzDiagPort() which returns that port nb but that port inst open in my car which eventually leads to a "connect failed"... so there could be other problems than voltage not being read by ISTA+ but unsure !

@B1257

Yes only recommended for diagnostics. Also it will not be a permanent mod. Closing down the tool will revert ISTA back to real time voltage monitoring (on the fly).

@Botho

Tool is just for voltage control.
