Here you go:

Use BDM to flash the 1024kb flash, then sync cas-dme with ista (one time procedure for new DME).

Let us know how it went, thanks and rep appreciated.

RE: Read ISN BMW Bosch ME 9.2 DME
I would verify the bdm pins and reseat them on the dme, making sure they have good contact.
This tool is kicking our butts.

Once you get it solved,
Off the top of my head, in ISTA go to service functions, engine electronics, look for dme ews, and run the ABL. The ABL will have option for start value reset, or the one time sync for new dme. Run the one time sync function. Sometimes you have to try twice if it doesn't work first time.

Post EWS dump if you want sync

Hi Mate,

What interface or device should support to read EWS 3?

Cheers!

Hi Enabled,

Found something interesting, but still need a help to solve. Please check attached image for DE28F800F3 flash pin data from data sheet. there is a pin for protection called #WP. In the datasheet it said that pin has to be "Logic High" to unblock the lockable blocks.

I'm wondering how to make it "logic high", does that means supply external +5 or +3.3V to Pin 53? Does BDM 100 has any +5V or +3.3V output? tauri

Cheers!

You should pull it high with voltage from Vcc pin. 3.6V

Awesome I will check now. biker

Hey everyone, finally I managed to enable the write function for Flash. It needs to unblock the Write protection via Pin53(I found the test pin which is the same Pin53 behind the pcb, easy to solder) also supply 3.3V from BDM100 adapter. Please check for more clear photos attached. Thanks enabled for helping me out with this issue.

Also I need to follow up with lupu_sandu regarding EWS 3 reading and sync with DME. Need to learn evilgrin read

You guys are legends! cheerscongrats

Hope this will help someone else too. biker

Hi Everyone, I have tried to sync DME-EWS via using different software's. But all time it failed! I have no idea what's going on. Please need help. whewfail
Here I have attached few images of screenshots I took when I tried the sync process.
Attached images as follow, I shout a brief explain here.

01 - Inpa (This image shows Inpa connected with the OBD properly)
02- Inpa (This image shows the error which I getting when trying to connect with DME)
03 - ISTA P mode (This Image shows I'm getting this error in the middle of "car complete coding process". Once I get this error whole process has to be stopped, won't continue)
04 - ISTA D mode(Once I get the error in ISTA P mode, I tried ISTA D and I get this errors in the system)
05 DIS Diagnose (Tried DIS v57 software also, and getting this errors in the system)
06 DIS Coding (Also tried to sync DME-EWS using alignment function in DIS v57 software, still failed. Getting this error!! But I already supplied stabilized 13V DC supply to car when Programming)

Looking for help!! dull

Does anyone tried PA Soft (BMW Scanner 1.4) software to sync DME-EWS? where can I find a working software for Windows XP? Because I have a cable which is support with BMW scanner 1.4 software.

What could be the reason for not sync or no communication with DME? (as diagnostic reports shows) Should has to be any electrical issues? wiring? fuse or any relay?

Cheers! nerd

Are you using K+dcan? Pins 7&8 bridged? Can you verify your latency in device manager? It should be set at 1ms.

I checked the cable from inside the soldering. Yes it is bridged pin 7 & 8. Also latency setting set for 1ms.

What else could go wrong because it stop in middle of the sync process. Does DME gone bad?

Still not solved the issue. Any clue?

Cheers!
