did anyone notice that some (older) files are mising in the newer download packages?

I had a specific .sgo file from a 2017 download (which I have lost unfortunately) and can't find this .sgo in the more recent archives from 2018 onwards.

If anyone has still any 2015-2017 VW/Audi data as a backup, I would be highly interested...

Do you remember what happen with the Dieselgate for example?
In any case if you want any old flash file, post witch one you need and we can see what we can do............

Seems vw release always supercedes to another one that will work

Could you please create incremental packages? 99% of zip file contents is the same as in the previous package from January. It's a waste of time and bandwidth to download 100GB just to find out only 0.5GB differential package would be enough...

You can be happy with 99.95 mate and get lost again ..

Anyway if you delete the older files by your mistake it is your stupid problem .. do not blame ayone exept you

I remember Dieselgate

The ones I’m looking for are definitely not superseded and were included in older archives, seems like manufactures don’t like the idea of keeping good old stuff running.

Neither I blame anybody nor I call anybody stupid, but please explain what's the point of downloading a 25+GB archive EACH month, when there are only 10-15 new flash files (maybe sized 200MB total)?

Absolutely useless waste of traffic if you download 25+GB each month and delete 24.7GB of it because you've already have since previous months. So a logical reason is to download just a diff package, you don't need a rocket science degree to understand.

Thinking that they add only new files over time was my mistake though!

They seem to delete stuff for no reason as well which makes it even harder to keep up and decide what to keep as a Backup…

You’ll have to compare the content each time before freeing up space.

For us it’s not so important to have all the brand new files that are currently out, it gets interesting for cars that need to be repaired after some time and that seems not to bother the Brands anymore…
