Hi Gini, is it nessesary to connect the Car to create FSC for map updates or is it possibel only with the VIN without connecting.
Another Question - the created FSC is only for the selected Map or for 1 year? Livetime FSC is an Option for later?

You need the 1B (cic) or the 1DE (nbt) file once on your laptop. Someone who has access to the BMW asap server is able to take this from server and generate with the known tools.
The other way is once connect to car...read the file out..save on laptop so that you in future can generate it offline

1. FSC:
I need to read the map FSC from the car to be able to generate the release code
This release code allows you to update your actual map if requested

The life time release codes will be available in the next version of DR.GINI which should be available for next Christmas

2. GAUGES
The actual version supports mainly diesel engines from approx. 2004 up to now
and few petrol engines from approx 2007 up to now (small engines...)

The reason of this limitation is I need access to real cars in order to create specific configurations to read and display analogical values

In the next version, I have included the possibility to the users to do themselves these adaptations with some limitations to avoid catastrophes...

first of all thank you very much for your effort and for sharing your brilliant piece of work.

Today I tried your software on my BMW but I got a bit disappointed.
Normally I use Test-O to logg BMWs but wanted to try your software on my 2002 E46 320d. It is equipped with the DDE504 D50M47A and I could not get a connection with my car.

Everything else works fine, INPA, ISTA-D, Test-O. So I must say my configuration in EDIBAS.INI and OBD.INI are correct.

Can you please tell me how to get Dr.Gini software running with my car, or is my DDE actually not implemented?

thanks and sorry for your disappointment

As mentioned in my previous post, only few engines are implemented (only DDE6 and DDE7 for diesel engines)

More engines will be implemented and an additional utility will be added allowing users to do their own configuration since I cannot test myself all the wide range of engines

On my e60 m57TU I can read faults, but cant use Gauges for Predefined Analogical values???? Any sugestions?
