Hi

I have 2 clusters, 1x E82 125i, 1x E82 135i.
I have desoldered the 080D0WQ chip, read with R270, changed VIN to 0xFF, erased mileage and soldered the chip.
Then i connected power to pin 9/18 on the table but the milage shows 999998 km, on both clusters.
Even if i use a new eeprom.
A BMW F10 cluster with 160D shows correct mileage after erasing.

What could be the problem that it shows 999998 km?

Sorry, I had no glasses ..
The DUMP looks fine but the VIN has not only 7 digits, you must have to delete the remaining line 306 to 30E.
But before verifies that the VIN corresponds.

What i found thru Google its fine to 0xFF the 7 digits only, its the short vin and it has 7 digits.

Solved.
If i erase mileage then it shows 999998 km.
If i change mileage to eg. 100 km then it shows 94 km in cluster.

I dont know why but its ok for me.

New ones from Smelecom.

It will always show high mileage with first 2 lines erased you need to put a mileage in
