Are you using latest version? If so it should communicate with your new ecu. Bare in mind ista/d will show the ecu in red until it is programmed and coded with ista/p

I can confirm that. It is acually funny that it really does not answer in ISTA/D at all, before coding.
In ISTA/P I have never told anything special about DDE/DME, at least AOS version can detect that there is new DME/DDE and handle it proper without any asking anything.

Yes you are correct, worked great once I used ISTA/P and used measures plan,Thanks guys !!

Can you be a little clearer. Your first post seemed to suggest you had tried both ISTAD and P. What did you do wrong with ISTAP in the first place that you appear to have corrected to get it work? This is very useful info and may help others carry out similar work.

Not sure what I did wrong, used ista/p first and dme didn't show up in module tree, then tried ista/d to diag and same thing,so came here posted this thread asking for help..
Next day I did procedure like started ista/p program asked if modules had been replaced and I answered yes, check marked dme then ista/p
proceeded with measures plan and everything worked,I think the first time I didn't mark modules replaced !fubar

If I helped you please add *THANKS* + *REP* clapping

Thanks. I must say I have had my fair share of frustrations with these softwares. Yesterday I could not connect to F series with a KDCAN yet a few days ago I could!

F series use ENET (ethernet) cable, not KDCAN...
