Correct.
BMW don't make the turbo. Mitsubishi do.
If you buy from Mitsubishi they are not authorised to sell with BMW logo on it.
Similar with Lemforder, Ate, Textar etc. etc

Ok friends. I was afraid that the turbo is not ok or it is some kind of fake. Same reason was told to me by the dealer. Thank you.

Can you brief us a bit after installing this new turbo how the car works, and is there any noise (whistle) while engine is cold?

Best regards.

Of course. The other turbocharger, the one that is currently on my car is a rebuilded one. And yes, when the engine is cold it whistles a bit. After I will install the new turbo(monday or tuesday) i will post here.

OK, so I have installed the new turbo. As I promised, here are some toughts. The turbo doesn`t whistle anymore. The car runs just like it did before the turbo replacement. No smoke coming from the exhaust at all. But, the problem persists sad(( The variable turbo geometry doesn`t work like it should. Only short pulses of actuation instead the normal behaviour. I will upload a video on youtube to see the functionality of the turbo. It is the same as the one from the old turbocharger. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhHbNH1n...e=youtu.be

RE: BMW E90 320d N47 Turbo question
I don't see any problem at all in your video. Current charging pressure is about the same (taking into account turbo dynamics) as specified one. And it seems like you are testing it without any load on the engine (just pressing pedal to rev the engine), so very small control signal duty ratios achieve the required pressures. Why they should go higher? The specified pressure is there!

I would be surprised to see the same numbers when you would be actually driving the car, especially uphill and under hard acceleration.

Why you think your problem is in the engine at all?

In that video the car was running from 0 to about 140km/h with the accelerator pedal at full throttle.

RE: BMW E90 320d N47 Turbo question
Ok, I was not listening to sound. But still, specified charge pressure is the same as actual. So what is the problem?
