I get no ZGW Available can not connect to car the vin does not show up...what are the usual reasons for this?

Connection issue between car and Virtual Machine, make sure you are sharing the ethernet connection.

You know how use VM, this is basic information how connect i/o cpu > vm. Read help.

Change the Network Adapter Steeting from Bridged to NAT (VM Hardware Settings). Then it should work .... .

Did you download it from the second link? I think the file from the first link is wrong.
