I want to let you all know that this update version might damage you NBT. I have done 3 cars with success BUT my frien just did update and now after 1-2min NBT reboots and doeas it all the time. Than i found this thread..... http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthr...p=22615835
I would recomend to use 2017-2 version because this can cause problems... |

If you read all the posts, you can clearly see that you are the only one (until now) reporting problems, so I'm quite sure that there is nothing wrong with the map data. Most probably such problems are related to some kind of a sw issue or even a faulty HDD in the car. In case that is really something wrong with the map data than all users would complain I think..I also installed in one car and no complains, works perfect. Maybe he got damaged file(s) due to a corrupted download which would be his best case scenario at the end..Download again and extract with Winrar 5.xx. Always use windows as there are many reported problems using mac computer (I'm not sure for BMW but I know for Audi MMI 3G)

I did 3 cars without problem and all working. My friend had this issue. We managed to downgrade his NAVI to 2017-2 and no problem. We used the same USB flash drive. And some people are reporting the same problems in link i posted. This problem also was for some cars with 2015 map version.

Read the VIN off the tag in the windshield
