It`s working in my case to, thanks for sharing.
FW K0260 updated last year for 2016 maps.
I did drive around for about an hour, entering different locations all good, no problems at all.
I can only use one sd card at the time, is it possible to use two cards?
I`m going from UK to Poland. Half way through Germany I will have to swap cards, is that right?
Or is there a way to get them to work together?

Baas J. You said you got both West and East working together?
You mean each card working individually or you have both cards inserted at the same time so you can plan your journey, say from UK to Poland in my case, without swapping cards?

I have the same problem I cant get them to work at the same time. This year I will be driving from Uk to Greece so Ill have to swap them in Germany on my sleepover.
I got them on 4 SD cards coz I cant get them to work otherwise.
SD 1 2018 west
SD 2 2018 East
SD 3 Activator for 2018
SD 4 2017 east/west (itt doesnt matter)

the reason I have 2017 map on an SD is so I can downgrade from 2018 west, to 2017 to be able to install 2018 east. It wont let me to install 2018 east if my current maps are 2018 west for some reason!

Honestly don't know mate, I only fallow the guide, step by step.
Maybe someone with more knowledge in this subject will say something.
I can use both sd cards, one at the time, but don't have to downgrade.
When I switch between cards its only saying, 2018 data base already on the system, still update? (something like that)
Click yes and its updating, restarting and other card is working.
Its a6 c6 2011 mmi 3g basic, in case it matters.
Hopefully you get it sorted before your trip mate

I can confirm that this 2018 map activation works on my Audi Q7 2011.
My SW is the original P0029. I never saw any reason to update.
I also earlier used the "00040014.fsc" for the 2017 maps without issues, so I believe the mentioning of release = "BNav_EU_K0260_1_D1" in the metainfo2.txt file doesn't matter at all.

You can't have West and East together in the MMI slots, MMI doesnt get that. It's either West or East and if you have used my FSC on West you should have no problem when switching to East.

So in short; you can use both sd cards, one at the time, but don't have to downgrade.

I have a solution but that's not at all We need a script to fix the main unit. I am working on it with a friend and will share here.
