When this is complete the mmi reboots, after that make sure that the mmi is fully booted and put the sd card in the unit, activation screen will pop up and you must press any key, after 40 seconds activation is complete and you must reboot the mmi and remove the activation sd.

I can tell you sunday, i don't know the solution. I have done the updates and do the activation sunday. Just for clarify: have you done the updates already or do you try to see if the activating screen pops up before you have done the updates? Because you have questions this morning about the updates, maybe that is the problem

I don't understand why you have problems. Just insert SD when MMI is fully booted (5 minuted to wait to be sure) and follow instructions. Then do a 3 buttons reboot and the map is activated without any blo king message.

Of course, you have to update FW and map BEFORE activating. Activation is available for 0770 and 0767 FW only !! Which offer you many car types to update and activate.

so we have two diffrent point of view. one side talking about modify original map VW folder etc like Carpediem

and Walawa75 talking about easy way. so walawa75 can you confirm that:

1. upgrade your FW to 767 or 770 (depends on your HW)
2. upgrade maps using original audi files without any modifications
3. install Carson patch from your post 77 - just copy content of patch to sdcard and run script

am I right or not? cause I am so confused and I dont want to brick my device

walawa75 - did u use same method and it works? do u know other people doing it in same easy in fact way?

YES !! For 3 weeks I am using my MMI with this activated method and all is working properly.
My beautiful A6 Avant bi-TDI 313ch is 10 month old and nothing is bricked !! Just follow instructions attentively !

I have same engine. Right now 400hp and 800 nm ok am trying to update. But all the time online
