9ling, thanks for responding once again. I installed ODIS 4.2.3 using the license file provided by you. If I keep the current date, it states that it is not valid. However, when I change the date (Jan 1 2018) and try to run the program, it crashes without giving any error message. Installing on HP system running Win 7 32bit. Any suggestions as to what may be the possible cause?

Yes. I used the license key in the folder. Copied the launcher to Offboard folder. Did 1st run as admin. It prompts date error. If I change the date and run it as admin, it will (after a few tries) come up. But when installing the Post update, it will disappear from the screen. Could it be an issue with the 4.2.3 software, as it was downloaded from another source. Thank for taking the time to help out. Error code attached as reference.

UPDATE: Installing the latest version of Java resolved the installation issue. However, the license issue presists for both ODIS 4.2.3 and ODIS 7.2.2.

Have you had older odis versions on computer?
Several hundred users installed these files and not had any problems.

As a matter of fact I did have older version (4.1.3) installed. I did clean out the registry before installation. During 1st run, it asked for name and key and I used the included key-gen to generate the same. However, this is my 1st installation of ODIS E. So I'm not sure what could be the possible cause for date issue.
Good news is that it is working with the date moved back. Now I just have to figure out where to put the project file and how to install the 10GB VW flash file.

it may be because you have the oldest odis reinstalled/removed but system manually of remaining residues have not cleaned.
