Do you have ISTAGUI.cfg is the same folder as ISTAGUI.exe?

i have one file named ISTAGUI and one file named ISTAGUI.exe.config.
Both are in the same file

You have to have ISTAGUI.cfg. So the issue is exactly what log says: you are missing a file. Have stupid antivirus?

i`ve compared the downloaded ista-d file with the installed rheingold release folder.
in the downloaded file i have a ISTAGUI.cfg file, but in the installed rheingold folder it is missing. So you are right about that.
Should i instal it all over again, or only the rheingold part?
Does it make a difference extracting files with antivirus switched off?

I`ve extracted the files again, and the ISTAGUI.cfg popped up in the right folder.
But when i tried to start ISTA, the file just dissapeared. With again the same errors in the logfile. Is there something wrong with the file? or am i doing something wrong?

Maybe you need to consult exorcist? Find out why its disappearing. It should not disappear by itself.

unsure if you solved your problem yet , you need to install net framework up to 4.7.2 or you will get errors , w spider laters release torrent he has a all in one vsdist other than than you should be good

Do you mean the complete ISTA 4.13.14 down load? I downloaded mine about 2 or 3 days ago.....
