IF SOMEONE KNOW HOW TO VIRGINIZE THE F30 CLUSTER
THAT HAVE THE 160D0WT CHIP ON IT !

i have a big ask if someone can help resolvin my problem
i have an bmw f30 2014 and i am doing an 6wa retrofit with used cluster
i was search and read about make the cluster "virgin" before is get in the car so i flow some stepts found it on the internet but those are for the 160D0WQ chip with store the km and the vin on it , i want to tell that my used cluster is lower km that i actualy have stored in my car so i don't want to make it 0 km just to change the vin on it
so the step are made for the 160D0WQ chip are :
2.2 Erasing VIN on the 160D0WQ
1. Start the programmer Software (supposing you did install it correctly
with all drivers before)
2. On the Main Screen, click on "MCU" and select "160D/35160".
Click "OK" (pic. 8)
3. Connect the SOIC Tesclip to the 160D0WQ-Chip.
4. Click "Read" : the EEPROM should be read. If not, check the
testclip position and orientation.
5. Save the unmodified BIN and make a backup copy to a safe place
6. Now erase the VIN
(a) Replace (not insert !!!) byte 70 0F (1 pair) with "FF" (longVIN)
(b) Replace all bytes from 80 00 to 80 0F (the whole line) with"FF" (long VIN)
© Replace bytes 590 0E and 590 0F (2 pairs) with "FF" (shortVIN)
(d) Replace bytes 5A0 00 to 5A0 04 (5 pairs) with "FF" (shortVIN)
Save the modified BIN (choose a new filename)
(f) on the main screen, click on "WRITE". The modified BIN is
now written to the EEPROM, and the data will be verified.
(g) Read the EEPROM again and check the modified bytes to
be sure everything is ok.
BUT NOW THERE IS MY PROBLEM ON THE CLUSTER I HAVE
THE CHIP INSIDE IS 160D0WT SO THE ADRESS THAT IS MENTION ABOVE
ARE LITTLE BIT INCORECT ....
SO someone cand guide me how to do it ?
i will atach the in file read it with my original ORANGE5 programmer .

Then your solution is only emulaotr.
At this moment i dont know device who can errase this epprom

You are wrong.

1. 35160D0WT can be done by R270 and VVDI PROG (TESTED!)
   
2. 35160WT can be done by ENIGMA tool (they claim so, i do not have this tool so can not verify that), so in this case 35160WT you need EMU!

Sorry to revive old threads but I figured this would a good start. I am looking for the PDF on how to erase the vin on the eeprom. I already have a 6WA cluster but I want to replace it with a one that has HUD. Used 6WA are cheap enough where HUD retrofit is cheap enough but before I get into it I want to see if I can replace my current 6WA. Thanks gents

1. 35160D0WT can be done by R270 and VVDI PROG (TESTED!)

clean vin only if cluster has lower mileage than your car.
