I read a lot of different ways to update the new 2018 cards. On another forum they say, you can use the activation script from 2017. It seems to work but later on I get the message no activation.
I am already on K260 so updating to 2017 was easy. Just put in sd in slot 2 with new map and update when finished put activator in slot 1 and activate. This time with 2018 map is different.
So, I will try with the new activator script a few post back and I am only on one thing insecure namely this line:
Important! For the people that activated earlier with the script, first downgrade to 2017 or lower. Then reinstall 2018.
What do they mean? The script from a few post earlyer or any script used so far?

i did tried to update but after couple of failed attempts i gave up. I will however try again but i reckon the activator used may be corrupt after downloading. Is there script to remove all script and do checksum when downloading new script?

It worked with the activator script from this post. West Europe and East Europe both are working like a charme.
Let`s hope they work tomorrow also.

It also will be working with firmware k0257?

So in short; you can use both sd cards, one at the time, but don't have to downgrade.
When you switch between cards its only saying, 2018 database already on the system, still update?
Click yes and its updating, restarting and other card is working.

But why MMI won't load EU WEST 2018 map if EU EAST 2018 is inserted first? I've had a problem with that so I had to downgrade to 2017 and then update to EU west 2018 again. If I insert SD card with EU east 2018 first and update  then when  SD EU WEST is inserted I get a message on MMI about "No update device found" so I have to downgrade to 2017 and after that I can insert 2018 WEST and perform update and all works. Problem is also in the whole process of downgrading/updateing because it is taking much longer time than it was on 2017 map version.

I don't know because I did first the West map because that was the most important for me. Later on I did the East map en later the Wast map again en no problems at all.
