Hi,
I just bought 2009 W204 C300 (Japan ver, J-OBD) with ECU missing.
For OBD2 emission test and registration, original Vin should be read.
(Below is just revised)
 
1. I'm trying to put in a used U.S version of ECU/EIS on the engine. Will it start and run okay?
(Will it cause an error with TCM / ABS / ESP?)

2.  If above is not working or errors occur, I'm thinking changing its ECU Vin to my original ECU Vin with DAS. 
Will it be possible?

3. If ECU Vin can be changed to original Vin number on DAS, can the car use original EIS?

put donor ecu and and match it to vehicle with star or avdi mate
it needs FBS data transfering to it

Thanks. I bought virgin ECU in ebay and coded it with SCN.
Engine starts okay, but engine check on.
It's sleeping in the garage.

Thanks. I did it and it worked as you suggested.
Engine check light on, but runs well with some exhaust smell.
