Has anyone had problem with new FSC activator for 2018 modified by Baas J.? I did update to K0260 and maps 2018 east and all worked well but MMI showed a message on display after 1-2 days "No update device found" like h?the situation when switching between east and west maps. This time SD card with east EU map was inserted and no one didnt touched it at all and "No update device" poped out after 2 days? Weird huh? i will try to reinstal 2017 maps and see what happens then but not sure is this new activator will work? Shoud I remove it and install old activator for 2017 maps?

Hi, sorry for the completely newbie questions, but this is the first time I've ever tried anything like this. I just bought an A6 but it doesn't have Sat Nav installed/enabled. 

1. Will these files give me sat nav function?
2. If not, is it still possible to update the firmware using the instructions in this thread?
3. What are the benefits of updating the firmware on the MMI and
4. What are the potential implications of doing this? I mean, if it goes wrong, is there anyway to revert back to the settings I have now?

Hello everyone,

I am still searching for a solution to get rid of 01043 VCDS error, after updating my MMI 3G Basic to K260 with latest maps.

Everything went OK and MMI is up-to-date and running OK.

But I can't get rid of this 01043 error.

I tried the following procedure, shared on another car Tech forum, but no luck !

Q. 01043 - Control Module; Incorrect Software Version - How can i solve this ?
A. Restart the MMI and remove the key from ignition then put it back in. The error should change from 01043 - Control Module; Incorrect Software Version to 03276 - Please Check Software Version Management.

I am interested to know who has been able to cancel definitely this error when it appears after upgrading MMI 3G Basic.

03276 -  This error does not affect navigation

But the URL you sent is refering to solve 03276 error (with scientific calculator).

Shall I try to apply same procedure to solve 01043 error too ?

Hi guys, 
This weekend I want to upgrade my firmware to K0260 and maps 2018 on my b8 with mmi 3g basic dvd.
I read in some posts that it is better to keep the car motor running to prevent system shutdown due to low battery. In the BNav_EU_K0260_1_D1 firmware folder, the info.txt states: "Motor of car should not be running." 

This is contradictory info. Can i keep the car running? I want to use the safest option, which i tink is updating with running motor.

I did this with motor running. Mandatory, in my opinion, if you don't have a battery charger !
