I'm up and running now, apparently my old Lenovo T420 just doesn't like me. Something is weird with the network adapter settings. I tried with an old HP and everything worked perfectly the first time.
I setup commands to register the .OCX and setup port forwarding into batch files. Just set the I.P. of car and run as administrator. For those curious about speed, my F10 coding data reads out in 30 seconds via LAN, and 50 seconds via VPN. |

thanks for the guide bmwcoder75! it works well.
have you used openvpn? i heard if you use openvpn, you can even read vin from ZGW_Search and esys can connect via VIN. but not sure how correct this info. if you feel that I have in some way contributed / helped solve your issues/problems/requests, please do not forget to press thanks or rep button.
