f10 6wa retrofit need help
hi @ all i will retrofit a 6wa in my f10

i have 2 questions

1)
 the oddometer from the 6wa is lower them in my car this is ok so it will correct himself,
i will set the vin with r270 to ff i have read the instruction to do that , but i dont will desolvered the chip, and now i have read that some instrument cluster must be desolvering and some not?
i will use a soip 8 clip but how i can see it is ok or i must desolvering? must look at the hw or what is the indiz for this ? 

2.) i will code the 6wa to everey time white light but i have read it can only do when the software on the cluster is old and new software dont can code for everytime white light ? 

how i can know it works or not ? which software can code and when is the software to new and bmw blocked that ? is there any nummer which data i must have ?  and then i can downgrade?

Best is to just desolder it in all cases to avoid read errors

i dont will desolder because i dont know i can or i will broke the chip? its first time....

when i have read errors, the chip is for the trash then or everything ok?

I have same problem, read somewhere a guy used R270 with test clip to read/write eeprom 6WA without desolder. i bought R270 machine from china but the external board (red one) not same as that guy (blue one).
Tell me if you know where to buy that board (blue board in picture attached).
(sorry for english usage)

Try without soldering (needs a retrofitted port on the R270 adapter board). If it doesn't work, you have to desolder the EEPROM.

You read it right. If the software is old enough you can code this and it will work, but if the software is to new the coding has simply no effect. If you downgrade (should be Fxx-12-07-xx) you get mostly problems with the other (newer) ECUs.

Just desolder the chip or let someone do it for you with hotair station. It is the easiest way to go by.

ok thanks, so if if i rightly understand..... from Fxx10 to Fxx12-07 this software can coded for white led light at the odometer?

and my car is not updatet to new software , my ECUs hav the updtes F10 13-XX i dont know but its from year 2013.......

so i think it can be ok because its only one year... can test it

If i-Level is F10-13-xx-xxx it won't work (because is after July 2012).

sorry i dont write it correct, my car has update year 13...... the oddometer comes today to me and i mean when i flash the software Fxx12-07 on the odomter maybe it will work on my car because the other ecus only 1 year difference
