Hello,

My friend has recently changed his 8 speed gearbox on his Audi A4 B8. He has retained the module from the previous vehicle but the car is not starting now. Anyone know what the issue could be? It was starting fine before the change but since it has been replaced it’s not starting

Thanks for the replies, there is no crank. It’s push to start and all the hat has happens is the ignition comes on and that’s it. Not got the scan yet will post when I have it. Doesn’t it need adapting because it’s anew gearbox? I thought it would be plug and play because the module is the same from the old box.

if you did use old TCM the car must start... adaptions are only for transmission relearning in this case
check wiring, fusses etc.

also be sure the tcm is fitted correct on transmission
