i am having trouble changing vin in a replacement  airbag ecu ,
trw A4518202485  smart 451 2010
i have even tried Avdi  but that cant read the replacement when its on the car because of the vin  being different,
all air bags changed and still steering air bag light on, no errors in das / xentry, and thats with either ecus installed, the original or the replacement,

i think VIN is checksumed in AB ECU UNIT
try swap eeprom 95320 from old ecu to new one

hi i thought it could be done through obd ? read /write etc

his car, i v been messing around with smart or twos for over5 years now, never had one like this

For crash 451 step1 clear crash and direction cks step 2 you need a scn 70% models
