Downloaded perfectly and unpacked but, requires activation code. I've updated maps on my 2016 340i a few times over the past couple of year and didn't need an activation code. Not sure why I need a code now.

Maybe martiansoldier meant by an activation code the password required when expanding the .rar file. 

Still waiting for the password from the OP....

No, I received the password for the .rar file and was able to unpack without any issues.

I would be surprised if this was the case since my car received 2019-2 OTA updates for my region 4 days ago and per my connected drive account, I am good until Aug 31 2019.

What is this activation code for then if you already have the OTA update installed and the .rar file is unpacked? Sorry, just confused.

That’s exact what I’m wondering too.

2019-2 OTA update was regional only and was trying to install the full version but car now wants activation code to load the unpacked files.

Here is a picture showing 2019-2 OTA update 4 days ago for TX region was installed successfully.
