Remapping my Alfa Romeo MiTO with KESS
Dear Car enthusiasts,
I have purchased a KESS V5.017 clone from AliExpress (yet to arrive). I have already installed KSuite, WinOLS, ECM and some other programs. My goal is to remap my Alfa Romeo MiTO 1.3 JTDM Eco (Marelli ECU) and to learn as much from it as possible. When the KESS clone arrives, I want to connect it with OBDII and read the current ECU, and write a modified one. I have downloaded the 850GB WinOLS Damos database. In that database the two(!) attached Stage1 files were present. These are meant for the Alfa Romeo MiTO 85HP. Can they be used on a 84HP MiTO? I now I can only use a Stage1 file that originates from the same ECU version as mine. Since I do not yet have the KESS device, I have to wait until I know which exact ECU sw/hw revision I have With the use of WinOLS I cannot seem to understand what has been changed comparing it to the original ECU dump. Could you please show me / teach me how to see what changes have been made to this Stage1 file? I know how to use a hex-editor, I have highlighted the differences between the two files. However, the results are incomprehensive for me. Thanks!! Information: Alfa Romeo MiTO 1.3 16v JTDM ECO Start&Stop 84 HP Marelli MJ8DF |
