For Coding, yes.  For Injecting CAFD and Flashing ECU's it requires newer E-Sys 3.33.

No.  Old versions not maintained.  No reason not to use latest PSdZfata with both E-Sys 3,27.1 and E-Sys 3.33.4 installed, and switch between them as needed.

But old launcher that supports 27.1 does not decode such new data, that is the issue for him. 

Honestly, spend 50$ once 2.5 years, and get latest luncher.... it is cheap as hell
