ista 4.19.21 + icom next
does anybody experienced problem with flashing most units with latest ista? Im using oem icom next and I had a problem with flashing 2 cars F31 and F87 kombi and hu. I get error about interminent connection. Anyway icom was not disconnected nor lan connection to pc wasnt broken.
Im not sure if its a matter of this version of ista or if its some kind of problem with my icom. I didnt flashed those units on previous versions. In istap MOST ecu's are ok on E series. I believe I can flash it with esys without any problems so my conclusion is ista issue. anyone have similar experience? |

I guess that may happen if your DHCP server (router) is very slow to assign IP addresses. Some routers (for example made by Technicolor) have that problem.

I'm using dhcpsrv and also experience the intermittent connection issue. I just click continue. No problems otherwise.

RE: ista 4.19.21 + icom next
There is no "virtual router". What you need is DHCP server on your network. All routers have it by default. I use Windows Server 2019 with DHCP server role installed on my network and never had intermittent connection issue while flashing.
P.S. Until the ISTA 4.18 your flash would fail if you had no DHCP server. Release notes say they solved it somehow in later ISTAs, but I don't know if absence of DHCP server may cause intermittent connection as I never tried doing that without one. Maybe ISTA now has own DHCP server... |

RE: ista 4.19.21 + icom next
This problem is not related to dhcp, this message appears on versions 4.19.15 4.19.21 4.19.30 even if there is a router.

Will have to wait until the solution to this problem is interested BeemerBoy.
At first I thought that the problem was in ICOM, but having tried several options, I came to the conclusion that this message was due to an error sending data to the server. |
