Icom Next Purchase Inquiry
I want to throw away the Chinese icom and buy a genuine icom
But the US website
81312360883 I placed an order for parts, but the order is canceled. I entered the vin number WBA5A7C51ED617939 to place an order, but the order is canceled.
International shipping was not possible, so I placed an order with an address in the US, but the order did not work.

Is there a website where I can get genuine icom in the US?

BMW have global shortage due to lack of semiconductor parts. I tried to order around 2 months ago at my local dealer and the part is blocked from new orders as they told me they have over 3500 backorders. I asked if I could join the queue and they said no

Only way now is to get lucky on eBay that you find genuine ICOM instead of clone and pay well over normal price. One was up on eBay for sale in the UK ending this weekend just gone and auction finished at almost £700! To buy from BMW around £435 so almost double cost but due to shortage people are paying the crazy prices.

Heard the same stories from independent OEM part shops and dealers in DE and PL.

Last ICOM that I bought from the dealer was in Sept'21 and now pending for a new one since then. From what I was told dealers service shops are getting the ICOM's in the first place, hence that might be reason why order is getting cancelled (outside huge queue).

It would make sense that BMW prioritise main dealers before customer orders - ultimately in some cases it means more work for them at higher prices!

After understanding that the original ICOM has a decent price -- similar to a Chinese I bought in 2020 and returned since it created me problems, I've ordered an original BMW ICOM Next A and C at the beginning of Dec'2021, then the dealership that ordered it for me explained that it's backordered without an estimate, but their previous experience was 4-5 months.
Received ICOM Next C a month after that. The ICOM Next A arrived a week ago.

That was my experience - I tried to order in 2022 and dealer said BMW would not allow.

Fingers crossed there is good news on 4/1!

Maybe NA has a diffrent supply than EU, but I would hold back with getting optimistic with 01.04 - in the end it's aprils fool's day

update is not the same as stock arriving. waiting for update

Had mine on order for 6 weeks or so. I checked today and still on order. The last one I had (June 2021) took about 4 weeks to arrive. Will post an update if I hear anything.
