Where can i buy the wifi antenna and is ther a connection on the back of the NBT EVO to connect the antenna?

Hello everyone.


Is this the antenna cable i need to get Apple Carplay to work , on the web page it says it fits lots of different cars but the F36 420I is not mensioned.


So if i understand i have to take out trhe NBT EVO Uniot and on the back of it there is the connection to connect the antenna cable .
Can I guide the antenna somewhere behind the unit and stick it to the dasbord?


Then Apple Carplay wil work or do i still have to FDL code something ? never done VO coding.

Okay thank you , is the link to the antenna the right one ? and i dont understand you say i dont need to code anything just put the antenna ,others say i have to VO code something whith is the right procedure? I know the patch i got and did with the usb stick worked because i can see apple carplay in the Idrive connections and also spottify works now without having to connect the usb cable to the phone. 
Would love to be sure with methode is the right coding or just install the antenna.

Just put antenna and that is all you need because you already see carplay in menu. But stiil you can check coding in HU

I wil order the original BMW WIFI antenna with number  61119372321 ,this should be the one i need..
When I go to the settings of the phone in the idrive I get carplay, while connecting the phone it also asks if I want to use Apple Carplay. But when I go to media I don't see the Apple Carplay icon anywhere, and this is because I don't have a Wifi antenna?

you will see the carplay only in the mobile manager, then you will see it on the left in the main menu when you have paired an iPhone in CarPlay.

I say it and I repeat it because my comment from yesterday was deleted, NO NEED TO ADD THE 6WD.

You plug your antenna you patch and that's it!

Sorry this my fault i poste a link without putting it in a external notepad so i got a warning and the post was deleted.
I will order the antenna and connect it to the unit and i think it will work because i already patched the unit.
the iphone now connects to the car but i think it does not connect with carplay thats why i dont see the icon in the left side of the main menu.

is the wifi antenna installed?

This is not a retrofitted NBT EVO ,this unit was original in the car .

if the car did not come with carplay prep 6CP or 6WD then antenna will not be there.

Here are the options on the car

Right, your car do not come with wifi antenna.
For F36, wifi antenna only come with if your car had 6CP/6NS/6NW.

Are you sure about 6NS? My car has 6NS and retrofitted apple car play.
Mine is not working like OP and I am waiting for wifi antenna.
