RE: F & G series - Slow programming speed
Your problem is: Subnet mask does not match with subnet mask of master gateway. That is the reason it can't switch to http. You need to check the network settings in a gateway unit and compare to the ones in your computer.

RE: F & G series - Slow programming speed
How can I check settings in gateway?
I tried now on Enet cable and it throws me this: Code: <MCDDiagService<id=230900, job=com.bmw.psdz.jobs.common.MCD3_ActivateProgModeCascade, service=DSC - DiagnosticSessionControl, description=error: timeout, link=HU_NBT2_63_ETHERNET_63> [DIAGSERVICE]> Slightly different |

RE: F & G series - Slow programming speed
You can't just switch from ICOM to ENET as ICOM has DHCP server and provides different address range to gateway. Of course you could have DHCP server on your ENET and it could work. Given you had the previous error with ICOM it is possible that someone did some changes to IP config of gateway before. I think best way for you is to disconnect the car battery for a minute so gateway resets it's IP configuration.

RE: F & G series - Slow programming speed
Thanks!
I have discovered that someone have retrofitted NBT Evo in this G30 so thats probably why I cant flash it. What can cause it? As far I know BDC is the same for HU-B and HU-H so there shouldn't be gateway mismatch |

RE: F & G series - Slow programming speed
There are functions in tool32 for BDC to set IP address, mask, etc. I just don't remember what they are called. It could be someone changed default setting or something.

RE: F & G series - Slow programming speed
Just thinking:
Could it be bad BDC? There was only one BDC hardware version for whole G30 range? |

RE: F & G series - Slow programming speed
Looks like my problem is somehow gone. When I use router (real, not software) and always disconnecting battery for a while before connecting icom and ista/esys I don't have any issues with Ethernet and programming goes fast. Tried today on F06 with EVO. When I started programming using build-in ICOMs DHCP server programming was very slow. I have aborted it and then connected via Router and also disconnected battery for a while and then it went in normal speed
And about that exact G30 which didn't want to ping IP: there actually was a problem with OABR. Fixed wirings and everything works fine |
