W211 ENGINE ECU DTC
Hi there guys, i replaced an engine ecu A6461538789 with a A6461504979.The first one was dead almost but I made a full backup and wrote it on the second one.
The car drives ok with it, it has dpf off, but I get 2 bizarre errors : P1436 and P1437, P19/7 and P19/8 upstream and downstream sensors. Can somebody tell me why? The second one is CR3.44, the 1st one is CR3.41.Checked wiring diagrams, they are the same, 2 exceptions, the pins are reversed from each of those sensors.Changed them accordingly, same error. Any thoughts? |

RE: W211 ENGINE ECU DTC
Do you mean that they change from one sensor to another or that they change in the same sensor? I imagine that these sensors due to their location and range of operation are thermocouples... try without changing those pins if it is the second case (initial question)

I understand you have swapped the sensor pins, try with them as they were originally.

RE: W211 ENGINE ECU DTC
Put them back as they were and provide correct polarity to the thermocouple.

RE: W211 ENGINE ECU DTC
Make sure the schematics are correct and the sensor references are the same, on those pins (according to your schematic) there should be temperature sensors.

As you can see from the screenshots, the sensors should be the same. But I am pretty sure that in case of disconnection, ECU should report open circuit.it throws same CEL no matter what. |

It would be logical, I agree, that's why I have doubts that this second scheme is correct. |
