Why don’t you use  a “SWID reader”??
I used this software and K+DCAN cable to get 1b file.

That's rubbish. SWID reader uses the same Ediabas job as my FSC-Reader, so it won't work with a "bad" adapter either.

Hey guys, I’m using FSC Reader and Generator to generate FSC


When I try to read the fsc with fsc Generator, I can’t Safe the fsc. It says fsc save error. Why?


I can read vin with it without problems.

It’s a CIC with premium map


When I try to read it with CIC Magie the program crashes.

Got to be easier to get 1b file with usb copy script then use generator like below than mess about making that work?

It basically patches youre cic, so it accepts fake fsc's if im correct?

Will try it with my ICOM, even though ive never had any problems with my K+DCAN cable with coding/flashing with winkfp it may got damaged or smth.

If that wont work I try the 1B solution/patch

Hi, I meant the usb script that saves 1b file from sat nav to usb stick, should save you from those problems, can then generate map install code from it

save attached file at top level of a usb stick (fat32 formatted) and attach to glovebox usb port, should save a 1b.hex to usb stick after a few minutes and yes if point generator at that file should be able to create map install codes.  Occasionally it will pull wrong part of the file and 1b file is unusable but fairly rare, can also sometimes take a few goes to get 1b file created but it skips all the issues you're running into so worth a go.  Or if car is new enough to be wired right can pull file with a browser and enet cable.

As far as I know, E9x has no usb port in glovebox, only inside the armrest, will it still work?

Sure, glovebox ALWAYS as long as you have CIC (Professional Navi) or CIC-MID (Business Navi).

Armrest is optional if someone ordered option 6FL (USB) - only this one u can use to play music from USB.

Then one in glovebox is for Map Update and for copying music from USB to internal HDD (only CIC Prof.)

Yes definitely a glovebox usb port but it's right near the hinge at the top, you'll probably need a torch and get on your knees to spot it then have fun trying to get the usb stick in the slot, it's like BMW held a competition to find the least accessible place they could have put the port for E9x and then implemented it.
